Fall is here and you know what that means: new nail trends! We’re looking forward to wearing fall nail polish colors and trying out fresh nail art techniques, so we turn to the latest fashion magazines to find what’s on trend this fall.
Here at Lacquerous, we are always on the lookout for new shades to add to our growing inventory. Social media maven Lauren has been tasked to test out some brands and let our Lacqueens know how they perform.
The latest lacquer brand I’ve been sent is LuxeCoat Polish. Founded in 2012, LuxeCoat not only creates high-quality nail polish, but they also employ a team of experts who predict what the hottest color trends will be each season.
The first nail polish I’m wearing is Red Hot. This fiery shade is a great classic red shade. The formula for Red Hot is good, but it ends up applying slightly thick, so you must use extremely thin coats when using this polish.
The next shade I’ve tried is Pretty in Pink. This dainty baby pink is a lovely color that works perfectly as the base for a French manicure or on its own. It is pretty sheer so I applied 3 coats.
The final Luxe Coat Polish shade I’ve tested is Flawless. This is the best holo-glitter polish I’ve ever worn. It’s loaded with glitter and sparkles beautifully in the sun. After trying it on its own, I layered Flawless over Pretty in Pink, which is so pretty. This manicure lasted about 4 days before it started chipping. Another plus is that this glitter is super easy to remove! It only takes a few swipes of nail polish remover to take it off.

The latest lacquer brand that I have tested is wHet Nail Lacquer. This brand is all about the avant-garde. Their polish is specially created to be fashion-forward and work for any season. wHet Nail Lacquer is a vegan, 3-free line comprised of limited edition colors. Each shade has a unique name that perfectly describes each bold color.
The shade sent to me by wHet Nail Lacquer is Quixotic. By definition, Quixotic means “extravagantly chivalrous or romantic” and that definitely suits this shade. This rich raspberry color is beautiful! It’s perfect for a romantic night out and would pair well with a chic little black dress. The size of wHet’s bottle is slightly larger than most, which I think is great because there’s not a lot of polish buildup around the mouth of the bottle. The formula is not too thick and applies opaque in two coats. Also, it’s super shiny, even without a topcoat! I was able to wear Quixotic for about 5 days without any chips so the wear is pretty good.
